Aber Instruments
Aber Instruments core technology is based on radio-frequency impedance for measuring and controlling biomass on-line. It was developed in the late 1980's in conjunction with the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
Continuous improvement in the electronics, software and materials used in the Biomass Monitor system has delivered a far more robust package that provides greater accuracy, consistency and reliability than alternatives available today.
To compliment the new Biomass Monitors, a new range of probes has been designed using materials that conform to FDA requirements, making it the ideal instrument for the GMP environment.
Aber Instruments launched the Futura in 2009, a new generation of compact, lightweight biomass monitoring instrumentation that can be used on conventional and disposable bioreactors.
